Shalin, after losing control of her Mega Beedrill a second time, was on a mission on Route 111. She was taking advantage of the calm weather by trying to figure out how she could control Queen Zing while she was drunk on Primal Energy. Before she could get her right hand in place to perform the Mega Evolution, the eccentric girl was dislodged from her mount by the explosion of a ROCK BLAST underneath her, the dome of purple clouds trapping her within the SPACE-TIME DISTORTION.

Shalin's Beedrill lay flat on the grass, lacking the strength to right herself after taking the full force of five exploding boulders. While it shifted its focus to Tailpipe, Shalin went hurtling through the air toward the Alpha rock-type's face. As the Rhydon lowered its head to attack the Onix, the greenette landed on the massive Pokémon's horn. The wild roared upon seeing a human perched right in the middle of its vision, obstructing its sight.

Shalin had ridden wild Pokémon to catch them before, but this was beyond ridiculous even by her standards. With the horn piercing part of her clothing due to the angle she flew in at, she wouldn't be able to easily dislodge herself in time. Her nerves spiked, knowing what Rhydon were capable of, in genuine fear of how quickly she would be overwhelmed. All she could do was hold on for dear life until the rotational force tore her clothes loose during the HORN DRILL that was to come!

This entire situation was strange and severely terrifying for Maiyra. She wasn't sure if her heartbeat was ever this high, or if there was ever as much adrenaline in her system before. Somehow, it spiked even harder when another whole person landed on this monster's horn! Maiyra, unlike Shalin, had no idea what Rhydon could do. That being said, she yelled out "TAILPIPE, BIND IT!" while skeptical, as he didn't want to crush the soft human, followed along, beginning to twist around the beast, as Maiyra would reach out her right arm, left grabbing the crown of the Onix, yelling "GRAB ON!"

regardless if Shalin would grab onto Maiyra's hand, the unleashed Horn Drill would do, surprisingly, nothing to Tailpipe- While unintentional, Tailpipe's Sturdy ability allowed for an 'immunity' to the Horn Drill technique. As the Binding continued, Maiyra continued to think of what to do. Maiyra wasn't fully sure what she could do more to help restrict this behemoth- it was doing a great job trying to break out of the bind. Before she could figure anything else out- The Rhydon once more blasted Tailpipe, though this time it was with another Hammer Arm- sending Tailpipe flying off and breaking the Bind. Maiyra hit the ground hard on her shoulder, as Tailpipe struggled to stand up, panting. "Are you OK!?" she yelled out, to both Tailpipe and to her new mystery compatriot. Tailpipe would groan a bit, clearly struggling to keep itself awake. She may need to send out another pokemon, but which one!?

Tailpipe held the Alpha Rhydon fast, the wide-bodied Rock-type letting out a bellow that shook Shalin, though she was quite used to that feeling from being on her bug-type Pokémon. With its arms bound by the Onix, the wild had only one way to dislodge Shalin. By the time Maiyra called out to Shalin, it was too late.

The hulking, restrained Pokémon raised its horn skyward. While the HORN DRILL was a little slow to get going with the added weight of a scrawny human on it, once it started whirling, it didn't take many rotations before she turned into a green blur above the Pokémon's head. She let out a scream as the whirling horn reached full speed, her shirt pinning her giving way no more than a second later.

Even the Wildest Rider in Hoenn found herself no match for the dizzying rotational force behind the whirling, humming horn. Even after it dislodged her skyward, she was spinning around so fast that she couldn't recognize her surroundings at all. While this would have been fun in a controlled environment, like her friend's Gym, in one such as this, it was quite dangerous. She tried to reach for her Flygon's Poké Ball, but missed the switch in her extreme dizziness. She wasn't even certain which way was up.

Maiyra began to panic more, as she looked at Tailpipes condition, and the other human being flung into the air at high speeds. She couldn't just let this person die and run, right? She had no idea how to fight such a big creature, so she did the first thing that came to mind- More Pokemon to help fight this thing! "Muffler! Radiator! It's an emergency!" As the Cuffant and Piplup hit the ground, both ready to play before seeing the size of the Monster and the state of Tailpipe. The pair began to shake a bit, before getting ready to fight.

Maiyra, on the other hand, made a break to catch Shalin- she didn't think she could catch her, but she needed to at least try, right? "Radiator, Bubblebeam! Muffler, Iron Head! Tailpipe, try and Iron Tail it!" As the three began their assault, it wouldn't end very well. While the Iron Tail did land, the Iron Head was blocked by the foot of the massive creature. The Rhydon would send out a Hammer Arm, smashing Tailpipe back another 20 feet, though this time the Rock Snake pokemon didn't get back up. Following this, a Horn Drill attack would leave Muffler down for the count, and heavily beaten.

"Tailpipe! Muffler!" she screamed, though the monster didn't attempt to go to her this time, but wanted to make sure that damn bird stopped hitting it with water. Radiator was able to barely dodge a Horn Drill attack, though he was beginning to sweat already- the penguin not used to fighting at all, let alone against a creature strong enough to beat both Muffler and Tailpipe. Maiyra yelled out for the greenette once more, hoping to Arceus she can get her on her feet so they can get out of here.

At last, Shalin's rotation began to slow to the point where she could see again. The problem was that she was falling toward the rock-type, and fast. Even if she landed back on its horn, there was no way she'd remain conscious after a second Horn Drill ride. In her dizziness, she reached for the release switch on Sandy, her Flygon, and was successfully able to deploy the dragon beneath her. The Pokémon lurched to one side from stopping her rotational momentum, Shalin still too dizzy to meaningfully control her Pokémon.

Sandy gently let Shalin off as far away as she could before flitting back into the fray, landing near the hulking rock-type, and vibrating her wings so fast as to create a small, high frequency earthquake around herself, EARTH POWER erupting around the Alpha. The humming would have been quite loud if Maiyra was near. With three Pokémon fighting it, it looked like the two trainers were going to get the upper hand, but they couldn't rest easy. Until the distortion faded, the duo were trapped. Furthermore, Rhydon may not have been the only Alpha Pokémon around...
